As a manufacturer of unmanned aircraft systems and clean energy products, our staff at AeroVironment is continually in progress of developing new Clean Power Systems that are both environmentally-friendly and economically practical. Our vision of creating Clean Power Systems was first realized in 1979 with the production of the Gossamer Condor, the world’s first human-powered airplane.  We then introduced the Solar Challenger, the first solar-powered airplane the world had ever seen.   Our staff also developed the ground-breaking GM Sunraycer, a solar-powered vehicle with a record speed. 
 
Aside from the development of solar-powered aircraft and vehicles, AeroVironment is also dedicated to using oceanic and wind energy systems in an effort to preserve the environment.  AeroVironment Inc.’s USPC-2000 and USPC-5000 pumping systems were specifically designed to use solar energy to pump water in rural and desert locations, while the innovative Arch Wind converts wind energy into electrical energy in commercial buildings.  
 
AeroVironment thus continues to design and develop Clean Power Systems, ensuring that our planet is sheltered from the relentless and long-existing harm of other types of energy systems.
